Introduction

  • Comments are lines in a program that the Java compiler ignores when running the code.
  • They are meant for programmers to describe what the code does, making it easier to understand and maintain.
  • Java supports three types of comments:
    • Single-line Comments (//)
    • Multi-line Comments (/* ... */)
    • Documentation Comments (/** ... */)
